During a street fair, NYPD officers attacked street vendors. One can be seen kicking someone who is on the ground. This is an embarrassment for the already troubled NYPD, which is having to defend allegations of homicide.

Here, it was smart that the commissioner suspended the officer. It is important that the leadership show its professionalism and deal with problem employees. If it doesn’t the legal system will and it will cost the city enormous amounts of taxpayer money.
